To: My Love

No, you don’t know,

The depths to which I would go,

To show you how the heaven’s glow,

Is merely a splinter of your soul.

I want you to know,

I would slay the sun from it’s sky,

In order to show you how the stars lie,

Without the distraction of the moon by their side.

I would search and sail the seven seas,

To bring you treasures that mean to you,

How much you mean to me,

There, I would find the place in your eyes,

Where this world has died,

And is now just yours and mine.

I would slit my wrists and carve my heart,

If it meant our soul would never depart.

I would steal the wings from an angel,

And offer myself as a sacrifice,

To secure you a spot, in your God’s afterlife.

So, no,

You do not know,

How I love you so,

How you have the key to my heart’s door,

That would only soar and never creek,

So, listen to me when I speak,

I truly believe, so you can rest assured,

You have the only key that my heart could have ever endured.
